Noon's Creek Hatchery

The hatchery, off-channel fish habitat, lab, ‘polish’ marsh (duck pond) and outdoor classrooms are located at the mouth of the Noons Creek watershed in Port Moody, British Columbia.

Noons Creek flows 11 kilometers (7 miles) from its headwaters at Cypress Lake (el. 830 m [2,700 ft]) in Eagle Mountain Provincial Park, through the Cities of Coquitlam and Port Moody into Port Moody Arm of Burrard Inlet (Pacific Ocean).

Noons Creek is one of 31 streams flowing into Port Moody Arm of Burrard Inlet.

We invite everyone to come to the hatchery and see what work is done throughout the year, from collecting eggs from the returning salmon in October to releasing the small juvenile salmon into Noons Creek  at the Fingerling Festival for their four year journey out to the ocean, there is always something going on at the hatchery.  We also welcome school groups for tours and workshops.
