Donation Request

Like all volunteer organisations, we rely on donations to continue our work and really appreciate any financial donations or goods that we receive.

We greatly appreciate the support of the following organisations:

The City of Port Moody, Pacific Coast Terminals (PCT), Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), The Port Moody Foundation, Wildlife Conservation Canada, BCTC (BC Transmission Corp.), Robert Bateman, Inlet Seafoods, Gallaghers Coffee, The Village Toy Shop, Reed Point Marina, Fountain Tyre, Thrifty Foods, MacMillen Fish, Ocean Fish, Canadian Fish, and a number of anonymous donours.

We have a need for the following, if you are able to assist:

• Mounted salmon for display
• Cleaning Supplies
• A back hoe for half a day to clear the back lot  in preparation for the storage container, including a driver
• An eco-friendly option for removing rats
• A computer for administrative purposes, with a disc drive and windows 2007 or similar
• Spawning gravel to lay in the creeks for the salmon to lay their eggs (please contact us for specifics)
• GPS unit for stream mapping and related GIS software

We also have occasional working bees and welcome any volunteers to come and clear some introduced noxious weeds and clean around the hatchery, usually during Summer.  Very often, people use the area for parties and leave their cans and bottles strewn along the paths.  We collect these and use the funds for a scholarship for students studying environmental studies.
