We need people of all ages for shifts on Saturday, May 5th, 2012, between 11am and 3pm (earlier or later for set up / breaking down)
The Fingerling Festival is a unique festival celebrating the life cycle of the salmon and it couldn’t happen without our wonderful volunteers. We rely on our volunteers to make this festival the fabulous event that it is! Volunteering is a great opportunity to be a part of your local community, meet new friends, and help to make this a successful event year after year.
If you are interested in signing up as a new volunteer for the festival, please come down to the hatchery any Saturday morning between 9am and 11am or call Dave on (604) 469-9106.
The following volunteer opportunities are available:
‘On the Day’ Opportunities
We are looking for volunteers of all ages to come along on the day to help out for two hours or more in the set up, co-ordination, helping out and / or closing down of the event. The Fingerling Festival is from 11am to 3pm but we need people to help us before, during and after to ensure the smooth operation of this day. All volunteers are provided with a hot dog and drink in appreciation of their assistance. Training is provided. Students can use this festival towards their work experience hours with approval.
