Thought our friends and supporters would like to see the more unusual inhabitants of our duck pond – found over the last few months. We have some salamanders, newts, sculpins……….and of course the usual assortment of feathered beings as well!

We have some salamanders, newts, sculpins……….and of course the usual assortment of feathered beings as well!
Mallards are frequent visitors to the duck pond. This one is a male – you can tell by the bright green head.

Our ‘resident’ Blue Heron….and sadly, he likes our fry too much!
Sculpins are also resident in the duck pond.
We have many healthy looking salamanders in the duck pond like this one discovered recently.

We are currently in need of someone available 1-3 days during the week to help with raising salmon.
We need volunteers who can commit for at minimum two years as learning the full salmon cycle takes time and involves a fair amount of ongoing training
