We’ve had some early fish returns at Noons Creek for 2015! Fish were spotted as early as September 1st at the mouth of the creek – and today they are milling around the rearing pond outflow before they head further up the creek. Species are yet to be fully confirmed but all indications are that they are Coho………although some have looked a little ‘Chummy’ 🙂

BUT………….some further evidence has indicated that there may some Pink Salmon in the mix also! This would be the first for Noons Creek for quite some time – apparently they were common in the creek many decades ago but long disappeared. This is the type of news that makes us as volunteers feel very proud – justifying the effort that our passion and commitment drives us to do!
